Until He Comes – Communion Meditations
The Lord Jesus Christ gave His Church a simple, yet important command related to Communion: “Do this in remembrance of Me.” As we gather around the Lord’s Table, we pause to remember what the Lord did for us on Calvary.
Until He Comes is a collection of twelve Communion meditations designed to help believers reflect on the person and work of Jesus Christ. Each meditation focuses our hearts on a different aspect of His sacrifice, His grace, His love, and the redemption He has accomplished for us through His death and resurrection. Jesus not only told us why we are to continually remember His sacrifice, but also how long. The Church is to observe Communion until He comes again. Doing so forever keeps our hearts and minds on what He did for us.
These meditations are intended to encourage thoughtful reflection as believers gather around the Lord’s Table. They may be used for personal meditation or as an encouragement to pastors and churches preparing for Communion.
